Love Letters Collection

Love Letters Collection

When Nicholas and our Confections team were brainstorming a new Valentine's Day offering, they started thinking about love letters — how written correspondence has shaped art, literature, and relationships throughout history. That inspiration grew into the Love Letters Collection, a 42-piece set featuring three confectionery trios, each telling the story of a legendary romance. Fragrant Pâtes de Fruit converse with complementary nutty Dragées, then meet in perfect harmony within decadent Bonbons.

The standout? A harmonious pairing of tart, aromatic cherry; sweet, nutty gianduja; and rich Tumaco, Colombia chocolate — capturing the intense love between Napoleon Bonaparte and Joséphine de Beauharnais. A delicious side note: Napoleon's Continental System blockade led to cocoa scarcity, prompting Turin's chocolatiers to stretch chocolate with local hazelnuts, creating the supremely delicious gianduja we know today.
